What to do if you test positive for COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 via rapid antigen testing or PCR please consider adhering to the recommended guidelines from the CDC and VDH.

1. Rest.

2. Hydrate with water.

3. Stay home for 5 days.

4. Consider purchasing a home pulse oximeter (a device used to check your oxygen level). Monitor yourself at home for oxygen levels falling below 92%, worsening shortness of breath, or other increased symptoms. If this occurs please consider evaluation in your local emergency department.

There is no strong data to suggest the following over-the-counter remedies help with the COVID-19 disease process but are considered empirically as treatment. Please check with your physician about starting any new medications or with your local pharmacist for potential drug interactions.
